CARE & CONNECTIONS

Description

The Heartland Care & Connections Team exemplifies loving community through welcoming, connecting, and caring for attendees of Heartland Community Church. They welcome new people, connect new and existing attendees with ways to engage and serve, and provide care for those in need through connection, prayer, meals, and visitation.

What makes an ideal team member in this area?

If you have a heart for people and a willingness to provide a warm smile, a listening ear, a prayer, or maybe a meal, this is the team for you!

What does team engagement look like?

There are many ways to serve! We have greeters, and people who serve at the Connections Counter on Sunday morning, providing information and an opportunity to connect. We also have an ongoing need for people to call and visit with new attendees and people in need of encouragement. Another part of the ministry is providing meals for those experiencing a health challenge or family hardship.

How do we train or onboard?

All team members are provided shadowing opportunities and will attend Care & Connection Team trainings that help equip them for service.

Ways to get involved:

Connect with Pastor Lora or a Connection Counter team member to learn more about all the positions. They will share our current service needs and find one that fits with your passion and talents! Consider volunteering regularly or sign up for our meals and special events volunteer list!
